A closer look at SimpleTech Nitro DDR500 memory module

SimpleTech Nitro DDR500 Front View

The SimpleTech DDR 500 memory module that we reviewed comes with the golden colored heat spreader. The Nitro modules is using a red color PCB board. PC4000 is equal with DDR 500, which means the memory speed is able to run at 500 MHz. We will look into the performance of this RAM later in the testing and performance section.

The rear side of the SimpleTech PC4000 memory module is plain with the SimpleTech logo and specification label on it.

On the specification label on the heat spreader, it states the RAM model number, the RAM speed and RAM size.

Look at that, the PCB board of the Nitro series memory modules is slightly longer than other memory module's PCB board.
