SilverStone SG01s Case Review - Page 4

Moving to the front of the case are the two drive bays, which are pretty unexciting. The bays have screws holes to mount and hold your cd/ dvd drives.

[front drive bays]

Under the drive bays are the connections to the IO front panel. I like this style of this connection, as the cables can be removed by simply unplugging the cables you don't want to use.

[cables can be unplugged]

The cables from the front of the case are standard connectors sothey should fit onto almost any motherboard with compatable connectors.

Nex to the mother front panel connection is the hard drive bays, whihc are cooled via another cooling fan.

[other end of drive bay]

The cooling fan is located at the end of the hard drive bay. The bay is screwed down with 2 retaining screws. An idea solution, so you can remove the bays, install your drives, then place the unit. Otherwise you cannot secure the hard drives on both sides. You do not get an washers or gromets to reduce vibration, which would be something to consider if your using this for an htpc and want a quiet machine.

Moving accross the front of the case are the led and power cables that are located in front of the hard drive bay and run over the top. The cables are held down wth a sticky pad and cable tie.
