Page 4 of 8 Installation After installing the Patriot’s DDR2 4200+ memory modules into the memory slot of the motherboard, now it's time to test it. Testing and Performance Test System | Processor | Pentium 4 540 (3.2Ghz, 1MB L2, 800MHz) | | Motherboard | GIGABYTE GA-8I915G Duo | | Memory | 2 X 512MB PDP Patriot’s DDR2 4200+ | | Graphic Card | PowerColor X700 Pro 256MB PCI-Express | | Hard Disk | Maxtor 80GB SATA | | Optical Device | LiteOn 16X DVD-RW | | Driver | ATI Catalyst 4.12 | | Operating System | Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 and DirectX 9.0C | Timing Enable by SPD In the SPD, it shows that this pair of Patriot’s DDR2 4200+ memory module is able to run at the timing of 3-2-2-4 with a clock speed of 266MHz which is a very good timing and frequency for the DDR2 range of memory. Default Timing (3-2-2-4) This pair of Patriot’s DDR2 4200+ memory module is able to run at 1:1 or 3:4 ratios at the tightest timing of 3-2-2-3. But, in this test the motherboard is able to set at the tightest timing of 3-2-2-4 only.
