A closer look at the Arctic Cooling Fusion 550R PSU

The Arctic Cooling 550R PSU is a rated 550W power supply, but the actual output is only at 500W, it comes with a black housing with the classification of ECO 80. This PSU is ready with the SLI and CrossFire setup.

The Fusion 550R is using the ultra quiet ARCTIC 80mm F8 Pro Fan with the maximum speed of 2000RPM and it was be placed outside of the PSU which is a new design for PSU. By using the patented fan holder to optimize the vibration absorption, and eliminate the buzzing sounds of the fan to provide a quite operation.

The ECO 80 on the Fusion 550R stated that it was a highly efficient PSU accomplishes the ECO 80 requirements, a new green standard introduced by ARCTIC COOLING which requires 80% or above energy efficiency at 20% to 100% rated output.
